Allocate 80 % of your budget to the construction estimate and keep 20 % as a contingency. Unforeseen rock during excavation, design change requests, and material price hikes are almost guaranteed.

Where Money Hides

External development (compound wall, gate, landscaping) and utility connections (electricity transformer, borewell, sewage) are often quoted separately. Ask your builder for an all-inclusive scope to avoid surprises.
